When I have a lot of my mind and cannot fall fast asleep at night, I often gaze at the bright moon, pondering how the world would be if everyone became vegan and cared about the planet. Seriously, what would happen to this incredible planet if we were all vegans? This is a thought-provoking question many of us vegans have wondered, especially those of us who honestly care for all creatures’ great and small, the environment and planet.
The fact of the matter is, we are not the only ones living on this magnificent planet and need to stop living as if our survival is all that matters; and seriously start thinking about what we can do to save and preserve this extraordinary planet from further destruction. There are only about 7,100 cheetahs remaining in the wild due to habitat loss as a result of farming; and sadly the biggest threat to cheetahs are farmers who kill them if they suspect cheetahs are a threat to their livestock. Cheetahs are not the only animals that are endangered as a result of farming as elephants suffer the same fate if they are suspected of eating the vegetation on farms. If the world was vegan, there would be no demand for livestock thus resulting in no cheetahs, elephants, or any other animal being killed and there would be no habitat loss.

Years ago, I saw one of the most heartbreaking footages of this stunning orangutan in the rainforest frantically escaping a gigantic mean-looking bulldozer that was literally cutting down the tree she was sitting in and the petrified look on her face has been embedded in my memory forever. I try so hard to not think about that tragic video but unfortunately it is permanently etched in my memory. What would our planet be like if we were all vegan and had a heart for nature? What would it be like to live in a world in which everyone contributed to saving the planet and respecting all living things?
There would be no animal suffering, nature in a whole would eventually restore itself to its radiant beauty as there would be no more deforestation and chemicals disrupting its natural cycle. The air would be significantly cleaner due to less greenhouse gas emissions, global warming would eventually decline, rainforests would no longer be destroyed, deforestation would decline and the endangered species losing their habitats as a result of deforestation would have a chance of rebounding and surviving. We would not use as much plastic, the water would be cleaner, world hunger would be combatted; and in the wild, the ratio of prey to predators would eventually balance due to no poaching or hunting. I believe one can write an entire book about what would happen if the world went vegan; but realistically speaking, everyone is not going to become vegan, so for those of us who are vegan, please know you are making a huge difference in the lives of animals, oceans, forests, environment and the entire planet. I am hopeful and optimistic…as I really do believe by the year 2030, 30% of the world population will be vegan.
Thank you so much for following my blog! I greatly appreciate it!
Have a fantastic day!
