Organic or inorganic, animal protein is harmful to your health

By Gloria Stovall

In several of my previous blog entries, I focused on the benefits and advantages of plant protein, so now I want to turn-the-tables and explain why animal protein is harmful to your health, whether it is organic or inorganic.  Animals are multicellular, extraordinary, beautiful and highly intelligent organisms, created by God, in the biological kingdom Animalia. However, contrary to popular belief, animals do not provide adequate nutrition for human consumption, which is why numerous health issues have been linked to animal protein.  While it is true animal protein is a complete protein containing the nine essential amino acids-histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan and valine, animal proteins have higher concentrations of sulfur-containing amino acids, resulting in an induced state of acidosis.  One of the ways our bodies will neutralize this excess acid is by using the calcium from our bones, which as you can imagine, has a negative effect on the bones in our bodies.

Animal protein is not safe, healthy or beneficial for humans.  Even if you are consuming organic animal protein, you are still harming your health, as animal protein has been linked to neurological damage, kidney damage, diabetes, inflammation, arthritis, osteoporosis, cancer, heart disease, stroke, heart attacks, high cholesterol, depression, memory loss, digestive problems including constipation.

Animal protein has detrimental effects on the nervous system.  Ammonia is produced by your body in high levels when consuming animal protein, and the more animal protein you eat, the more ammonia your body produces.  The high level of ammonia causes your liver to work overtime, which results in the ammonia and other toxins to not be adequately cleansed before transmitting throughout your body.  This is detrimental to the nervous system as ammonia in excess amounts causes the brain to decline in function.  Hepatic Encephalopathy is a serious condition that is strongly associated with the liver not functioning as it should as a result of excess ammonia.  Significant changes in personality, depression and intellectual impairment are examples of hepatic encephalopathy.

Organic and inorganic animal protein is not beneficial for human consumption

Unlike plant protein, animal protein consumption increases the risk of developing tumors, colon cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer, colon cancer, stomach cancer, prostate cancer, pancreatic cancer and esophageal cancer.  Animal protein also contains dangerous levels of phosphorus that has ill effects on our bodies, so to normalize the high levels of phosphorus from animal protein, our body will utilize a hormone called fibroblast growth factor 23, which unfortunately, is harmful to our blood vessels.  This hormone also causes an abnormal enlargement of the cardiac muscle, which is associated with heart failure, cardiac arrest and even sudden death.

The protein in dairy was never intended for human consumption. Dairy milk is not designed or intended for humans to consume, and it is no surprise one of key reasons why doctors recommend breast milk over cows’ milk for infants, is because the milk that cows produce does not have the recommended amounts of iron, thus causing anemia.  The protein in cow’s milk irritates the lining of our digestive systems, which can cause blood in our stools.  The unhealthy side effects that humans experience from consuming dairy milk do not occur in calves as dairy milk is solely designed and intended for the baby cow.  In other words, their bodies were designed to consume the milk their mother’s produce for them, just as our bodies have been designed to consume the milk our mother’s produced for us.

The results speak for themselves; and for obvious reasons, organic or inorganic animal protein should not be advertised as healthy and essential, as it has proven to have ill effects on the human body.  The vegan diet on the other hand, has been proven over and over, to be the most beneficial, effective, advantageous, disease fighting, ethical, humane and environmentally friendly diet and lifestyle. If you are eating animal protein, there is no better time than the present to start integrating a plant-based diet into your life.
